The New Elementary School Campus is located in Oxnard, California. The project included the demolition of the existing school and construction of a new school on the existing 6.6-acre site. Elm Street was reconfigured to serve up to 770 students in grades K-6. The new Elm campus was built on the same campus as the existing school and was constructed while the existing campus was occupied. Additionally, the new campus contains specified support facilities, administration areas, a media center, food service, multipurpose room, physical education spaces, and restrooms.
New HVAC design consists of VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems. The Plumbing system Design minimizes the water use. The Fire Protection System is designed as full coverage system. A new Electrical Service as well as a New Telecommunication Center to house all Campus Safety and Technology headend systems were designed. The specified LED lighting fixtures and controls contribute greatly to lower overall energy use reduction, Fire Alarm, LAN, WLAN data, Audio/Video and CCTV and Intrusion Alarm were specified and designed.
The project was implemented in two phases. The Rerouting of Power, Signal and Gas systems to keep buildings in different phases operational are carefully planned.
