Project Summary

This AIA award winning New Campus consists of four small schools or learning communities that include: The Fine & Performing Arts Academy, Global Issues Academy, and The Synergy Quantum Academy. Shared facilities include: performing arts classrooms, a library, multi-purpose room, two gymnasiums, a variety of playfields and courts, food service and lunch shelter, administrative support services, playfields, and parking structure with rooftop under basketball courts. Athletic field lighting and rooftop basketball courts lighting round out the additions for this new campus.

Roshanian and Associates, Inc. provided:
Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Design, Preparation of Construction Documents, DSA Approval, and Support for Bidding and Construction Phase for HVAC, Plumbing, Power, Lighting, Fire Alarm, and Technology/Signal systems. HVAC systems consisted of rooftop package units controlled by EMS. An Electrical Service and Power Distribution System, as well a Telecommunication Center to house all Campus Safety and Technology headend systems was designed and installed. The specified lighting fixtures and controls was designed per LAUSD Standard. Fire Alarm, LAN, WLAN data, Audio/Video and CCTV and Intrusion Alarm were specified and designed.

High efficiency HVAC systems, Low Flow water saving plumbing fixtures, EMS, Superior Electric Lighting Performance (LED Lighting, Dimming / daylighting controls, Occupancy Sensors), Controllability of Lighting, No Light Pollution, Solar PV.
