LADOT Transit’s New Bus MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION Facility Achieves Prestigious LEED PLATINUM CERTIFICATION

Our team is very excited to receive the LEED PLATINUM Certification for the new City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation’s Bus Maintenance / CNG Refueling Facility. The sustainable building was awarded the Outstanding Architectural Engineering Project of the Year by the Metropolitan Los Angeles Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
The site includes: 77-bus DASH parking, CNG fueling stations, a two-story administration building, 98-space two-story employee parking structure, a six-bus bay maintenance facility, and charging facilities for 26 electric buses.

Roshanian and Associates, Inc. provided:
1. LEED consultancy for LEED PLATINUM Certification: Develop original LEED Checklist. Assist and direct  to Design and Construction team to complete compliance forms and upload backup drawings . Incorporate LEED Review comments. Submit the response narratives and revised documents.

2. Energy ModelingDevelop an energy model to achieve maximum possible EA credits. The facility is net positive,  producing alternate clean energy amounting to 250% of energy consumption.

3. LEED Enhanced Commissioning (CxA) services:
Lead, review, and oversee the completion of the LEED Enhanced Commissioning process and activities. Review of OPR and Basis of Design. Conduct Design Review of Construction Documents and create Review logs. Create Commissioning Plan. Create Pre-functional checklists/startups, and Functional Performance Testing forms and oversee field testing’s. Oversight of M&O training process. Complete Commissioning report. Conduct Field Survey 10 months after occupancy.
