Project Summary

New Elementary School Campus is located in Oxnard, California. The project includes the demolition of the existing school and construction of a new school on the existing 6.6-acre site. Elm Street is planned to be reconfigured to serve up to 770 students in grades K-6. The new Elm campus will be built on the same campus as the existing school and will be constructed while the existing campus is occupied. Additionally, the new campus will contain specified support facilities, administration areas, media center, food service, multipurpose room, physical education spaces, and restrooms.

New HVAC design consists of VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems. The Plumbing system Design minimizes the water use. The Fire Protection System is designed as full coverage system. A new Electrical Service as well a New Telecommunication Center to house all Campus Safety and Technology headend systems are designed. The specified LED lighting fixtures and controls contribute greatly to lower overall energy use reduction, Fire Alarm, LAN, WLAN data, Audio/Video and CCTV and Intrusion Alarm are specified and designed.

The project will be implemented in two phases. The Rerouting of Power, Signal and Gas systems to keep buildings in different phases operational are carefully planned.
